One time, i made a cloud city shaft map which is basically where luke gets thrown out the window and loses his hand, and i request it to be added in the mb2 maps list
also, as you can see some more people wanted this map to be also put in mb2
here is the download
and here are some screenshots

Have you tried using a bevel for the round objects (Window, stuff outside)? I know it's tempting to use an actual brush for these things, but in GTK Radiant, round objects are best done not with brushes. They look 400 x better.

i mean, not really, i dunno how to make circles with meshes or if there is a way to make em'
But im using the cylinders for most of the cylinder looking things or spherical, plus the weird bridge/ gantry end.

You were right, using curves were way better. the 3rd and 4th image is before the curves, and the 7th, 8th, 9th is after. Looks really smooth!

The grey on the catwalk construction could use more metal shininess, even if it is not movie accurate, looks like cheap plastic otherwise.

I put on a chrome enviroment on it, but i made it a custom one so its subtle. otherwise it would have been bright and looked unnatural, you just cant see it in the screenshots.
But if i look around the grey catwalk area, you can kind of see the shine
On the 8th image, at the rocket thingy? i dont know what its supposed to be, but you can see the chrome shine.
And yeah, it is movie accurate!
if you take another look at the catwalk on the movie, you can see some metal shines, especially at the (rocket?) when luke is holding on for dear life.

Very nice progress. Feedback on maps is a fine line between Shea's type of comments (which if you work in website design you get used to hearing alot of "make it look better") and actual detailed comments :p

I think you need some "plating" details on the main structure then it will make the grey less "basic":

You know what? Fuck you shea.
Im tired of your bullshit, Sure i could have it done better, but thats as good as a map can get for a begginer like me.
I uploaded this map 6 minutes ago, and you are saying "iTs NoT tHaT gOod"
you probably should have tried it first then immediatly calling it bad.
No wonder people call you a cunt.
I spent months on this learning about maps, gaining experience, making textures and then making this, adding every possible detail i can, only for some douche to give me shit critcism which in no way helps me or anybody else. "mAkE iT bEtTer" fuck you.
Calm down. Not my fault you cant take constructive criticism

"cant take constructive criticism" cant take constructive criticism. CANT TAKE CONSTRUCTIVE. CRITICISM. ARE YOU BLIND SHEA? DID YOU NOT SEE THE 3 OTHER *ING THREADS, PEOPLE GIVING ME SUGGESTIONS, PEOPLE POINTING FINGERS AT ACTUAL MISTAKES AND FLAWS, ME FIXING THEM ALL, AND YOU SAY THAT I "CANT TAKE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITCISM" you are not giving "constructive critcism", you are sitting on your *** and complaining about things that do not exist. Period.

Yes. You are clearly incapable of taking constructive criticism. And there is no need to use all caps lets keep it civil mate.

Im sorry for using caps, i was kind of an asshole about swearing and shouting, but my point still stands.
Shea, just look at the three other threads.
What are other people saying?
Just take a look and read every comment about my map and come back.

"Ive not got the time"
You fool, thats it, you just completely nullified all of your non-existent points and arguments in only 5 words.
you not only did that, but you completely showed your ignorance in only one post on the goddamn internet. have to say, the only thing i can do is respect you, congratulations!

You dont seem to be handling my criticism of your critism very well.
Bruh, of couse im not handling your "critcism" of my critcism very well.
Why?
Because its baaaaaaaaaad.
Its very, very bad!
And you need to do is improve your arguments and critcism if you do not want people losing patience and swearing and shouting at you just like i did, and actually having a person do what you want. saying to make something better with no explanation or extra info will not improve a creator, it will make them feel like they are not good enough and stop mapping if its their only sort of critcism on their map, thankfully, other people in this thread have brains and give good, and nice critcism :)
too bad you aren't like one of those people.
