shea, are you so dumb that you cannot look on one single page?
There is loads of people pointing out flaws and thing that dont make sense on the map, me fixing them, but you are so ignorant you don't bother to take a minute of your time to read all of them.
I want people to critique my work, i want people to help me get better, if i didn't want critcism, i wouldn't even post it anyway.
Grow up shea.

Also its waaaay better than my 1st map. (Check out Yalara RP. I cringe just thinking about it.)

At this rate you'll surpass Lindsey and SJC by december if you keep mapping.

Yeah, i released the cloud city shaft on jkhub, but the mods still haven't approved plus a carbon freezing chamber map that has been pending for 2 weeks :/
Thats why thats why i put a download on here on the community, because it is stilll peendiiiing.

Yeah, he already has said he was trolling, trolling is only "funny" when the person doesnt know that person is trolling, but since already said it, its not "funny" anymore, and it keeps filling up my thread, and diverting attention from the actual release of the map to shea :/

PERHAPS A REALLY TERRIBLE LIFE CHOICE AHEAD :Hmmm, really thinking about remaking that map again...

Unless it was made well to begin with, better to start with a fresh idea/map and layout and apply your newly learned skills there :p
Yeah, you are right, about the "well made" oh boy...
You overestimate my begginers luck!
Here are the following things that i did on the common :
duplicated brushes
"whats an csg"
"wait there are other entities? other then models and spawn points?"
didn't even know how to make DOORS
"now you see, curves are overrated"
and many other terrible things.
And i am gonna try making other maps from different locations, just dont have any ideas in mind.

One big thing beginner mappers (and even not so...) skip over is brush optimization, something that can be pretty important for good performance once you start trying to do anything complex. Mitering being the main thing.

The other big pitfall is understanding at least the basics of the PVS system, which is really just using structural / detail brushes properly to avoid super long compiles, VIS errors, and poor FPS. There's no one stop handy guide for that that I'm aware of, though things like Richdiesal's well known tutorial series does briefly touch on it.

It doesn't look like you have caulked the brush faces which aren't visible. Also, there is quite a bit of Z-fighting going on between brushes, but that's quite easy to fix you just need to move some stuff around. And Spag made some good points, as it is quite likely that your entire map is made up of structural brushes.
