How do I solve 999 ping spikes? This is getting fucking ridiculous.
it happens to me too and my internet is fine, I'll just randomly experience packet drops and my ping goes to 999 when it happens in literally no other gameI highly doubt you have a good internet there.
By the way it helped me when I was new.Have you changed your Network Settings within MBII?
Make sure you have:
Networking Rate > 25000
Max Packets > 100
Snaps > 40
I would suggest to change Backup packets as well.Have you changed your Network Settings within MBII?

Try plugging your computer to a router with a cable.I checked my Wifi, it's actually more than fine.
This solved most of my internet related issues in MBII so I reccomend this.I would suggest to change Backup packets as well.
Try plugging your computer to a router with a cable.
Try different values and see what happens. And how would I go about changing backup packets?
I dont think its someone causing servers to lag for himThe solution to this wizardy.
Fine the kind gentleman DDosing the servers you are playing at you will do us all a favor.
If you are getting ping 999 for no reason it might be your router is just broken. I had a worse model than now it would slow down and disconnect me as a result of just working. A defective model.
Everything you described here is not being caused by the game, it is design itself but by your hardware and a specific person having fun breaking the game for others.
