Hello MBII Forums, I am GodofGamingRWBY, though I'm normally just called 'GoG' because who wants to write that entire thing out. I am a big star wars fan who picked up Jedi Academy not too long ago and decided to get MBII along with it. So far, no servers have been up in the time I've been 'playing' MBII, but I hold onto hope that there will one day be a server up so I can see why people love this mod.

But, I suppose this isn't an introduction without a few more things about myself. I am a simple, small time writer for currently one fanfiction that has nothing to do with star wars, I am a huge star wars fan (like I said before), and my favorite games are the entire Blazblue series and Okami.

... And that's all I got, so hello everyone.

I'm thinking there's a problem with your setup because there's plenty of US servers up and there's almost always at least a few people on in my experience.

Seems like a topic for the Support section.

  1. Open a server list
  2. Open a console by pressing Shift + ~ (aka Shift + `)
  3. Make a screenshot, post it here.
You can see an example of such screenshot below.
  4. Type in that console:
    Code:
    /connect 164.132.54.66:29070
    Press Enter.
Post here what happened after that -- have you successfully connected to a server?

Alright. I managed to finally awake and do as you have asked.

First off, screen shot. Boom:
upload_2017-5-3_6-48-50.png

I did refresh multiple times when I was in this. It didn't exactly do anything.

Second, when I did the console command, I did in fact join a server... It just stayed in the connection screen and counted all the way to 30 before I quit it and, completely honest, thought it was more or less just a test to see if one IS able to connect to the servers to some degree.

But, as you can see in that screenshot, I did not in fact forget to change the source to "Internet".

Edit: Only know just realized that the screenshot needed the console open as well. Once I return to my computer I shall get a CORRECT screenshot put in.

It might be because of your settings. One thing you should do is set your data rate to 25000

No, while connection settings may have some impact on gane itself, there should no situation when any value of those settings causes server list list to be empty.
Have you updated your Jedi Academy to 1.01? It is necessary, otherwise you won't be able to play the Mod ;)
Here's a link: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy v1.01 Patch - Download
That why I asked to open a console
If JA isn't patched, it will crash on key combination.
If it's already 1.01, it won't crash.

Alright, new updated screenshot without me changing anything about it, aside from pulling up the control browser

"44 servers not listed due to filters, packet loss, or pings higher than 800."

Huh. Your filter settings are fine... so... is your local network really really shitty? Have you ever played any other online multiplayer games on it?

(Potential reasons for really really shitty network: Your ten siblings are constantly watching ten netflix shows at the same time, and/or your parents are always torrenting ten midget porns.)

(or you live on the fucking moon.)

I have played online multiplayer games before, such as GMod, League of Legends, and some fighting games in between those. Not exactly a lot of variation between these multiplayer games, but it's what I have.

... Guess my local network really is garbage :I

I mean, it may be possible that the game is confused in its diagnosis. If you managed to play fighting games on your network without feeling like your actions took quite literally a full second to register, then it's unlikely that you have pings over 800ms to every server. There may just be something fucked up about your installation. Puppytine will probably have more useful things to say when he gets back, I'm just yakking.

Welcome to the forum.

Everytime I try to sleep and I close my eyes, I hear this song in my head. It sounds like its real. What can I do?

At this point I should take a moment and reassure you, @GodofGamingRWBY , that we here aren't actually completely insane. I have a surreal sense of humor sometimes, and Dark Helmet is some new guy who is either non-stop references to the @coffee_dad twitter account or literally IS @coffee_dad. And arguably @Chaos the Chaotic , the third most prolific poster here, has a surreal sense of... something. Most people here are just sassy trash or memer trash, not crazy.

Anyway, back on-topic, here's a pretty dank internet connection test. It'll test ping and packet loss, and if your ping is under 800 and your packet loss is somewhere near 0, then your problem remains a mystery and a solution remains possible.

Oh don't worry, never exactly thought of you guys as crazy, and neither would I have cared. I prefer the term "unique" instead of crazy for people online.

But, doing your test, my ping is in fact under 800 and packet loss is a comfortable 0%. So, solution is still possible.

I don't own any guns if that's what you're asking.

MBII Launcher => Settings => check "Enable logging" => Repair installation.
Post latest log from "Jedi Academy\GameData\MBII_Launcher\logs" here.

As @Noob said, it may be a firewall, so check is MBII process (jamp.exe, jasp.exe, mbii.x86.exe, whatever you use) whitelisted in firewall.
Apparently Movie Battles already has some access to Internet since there is a response from master server (shown in console), but connections to other addresses must not be blocked as well.

Try /connect with different IPs from web-list.
Are you able to join servers that way? Any error messages?
