Oh hi guys,

I've just come home from work, turned on my computer to visit these forums like I'm used to, but instead of discussions about Movie Battles II I got only an error message :(
When I tried connecting via proxy, site loaded without any trouble.

After some short research, I found out that problem is neither on my end, nor yours. My requests don't leave routers of my ISP -- in more simple words, ISP that I use (Beeline) banned moviebattles.org.

Then I got this link: Реестр запрещенных сайтов
Turns out IP-address of this site is blocked by Russian authorities. This happened because moviebattles.org shares IP with drug shop. I just checked it, that other site offers heroin and more dope to buy.

As a result, now I cannot access moviebattles.org without some transit server, would it be proxy, VPN, or any other technology. More over, Launcher won't download MBII files for me because update.moviebattles.org is also assigned to those unlucky IPs: 104.24.101.26 and 104.24.100.26.
There is a different ISP (Megafon) on my mobile phone, and the site works just fine there, but I'm afraid it won't last long.
Probably, soon these forums won't be available all around Russia, and MBII Launcher will stop downloading files for Russian players.

That all is very sad and frustrating, it feels like Ajit Pai found his way to got me, despite the fact I don't live in U.S
So guys, could you do something about that? I used web-proxy to visit MBII forums in the past, and that sucked; some features work incorrectly/don't work at all.
Maybe you could ask Cloudflare to change your IP-address to some that is free from drug-dealers?
Or maybe you could even report those damn pushers, so Cloudflare shut them down?
Because after all, selling dope is illegal, and I'm sure it's against each and every CF's rule and policy.

It works fine in my Russia.
I am on the most blocky ISP right now. (I will switch to a better one in a few.)

I'm no expert (indeed I have no knowledge) of how Russian ISPs/law operates, but I believe It could also depend on how cloudflare is balancing traffic or if you're accessing the site via IPv4 or IPv6.

Still doesn't work on my PC (Beeline).
But I still can access forums from my smartphone (Megafon), and moviebattles.org is available via free Wi-Fi in a public transportation (NetByNet and Maxima-Telecom).
So it's not quite right to say that MBII forums are blocked for the whole country, it's seems that different ISPs have different policy, which is pretty strange, keeping in mind those repressive laws that were passed in Russia in the last years.

But all this does not make my position any better. Beeline is blocking these forums :(

That does not answer for what I'm supposed to do to be able to visit forums without using anonymizers :(

Can confirm that site is available via my pc-internet without proxy (dom.ru-user).

Have you tried calling Beeline's support center and asking about this trouble? Perhaps there's a mistake somewhere on their side. If it is true, then they will fix it immediately, because russian internet providers are fighting for every customer nowadays, and they cannot afford to lose them because of providing unreasonably limited power internet accessibility instead of unlimited one by mistake.

Judging by this link, a restriction was canceled the same day it was accepted. Probably Beeline overlooked it by accident.

Hey, that's not funny, bro.
Russian government is obsessed with censored, including censorship on the Internet. They block everything: political opinions they don't like, news sites those show events the way the authority doesn't like, torrent-trackers, memes, porn, jokes, etc etc.
They don't call it "censorship", indeed; they used same bullshit "arguments" that were used during all the history of mankind, in different countries, on different continents: "think of the children", "national security", "extremism/hate speech".
The amount of information we are not allowed to access grows everyday, and the speed of the growth is just insane. It's pretty close now to China and Iran.
Freedom on the Net 2016

I hate them, I really do. Seriously, if anybody in the world deserve a death penalty, it's the people who're trying to set up a censorship.

I doubt they will do anything about that.
Technical support in Russia is known for its bad quality and ignoring customers' request. Most likely, they will tell me to go fuck myself.

But anyway, I've sent them an e-mail to [email protected].
Let's see if they'll ever react for that.

Yes, I see it, but I've got no other explanation.
Drug shop is still active, and since both MBII and drug dealers uses SSL, there is no way for ISP to block only pushers and keep moviebattles.org available.
They cannot intercept requests and separate those are for MBII from those go to coca24rc.biz, they can only ban IP-address.

are mb2 & the drug shop hosted on the same machine? how can they share an adress?
Yes, it's possible that sites share same physical server.
But it's also possible they are hosted on different machines, because Cloudflare may use traffic forwarding.

memes :(
knowyourmeme and deviantart are blocked on SkyNet ISP.
Fortunately, I've moved to another ISP and now I can be meme-educated and become an artist.

MovieBattles.org is hosted on private/dedicated server alone. CF is giving IP addresses randomly(tied to acc), and customer service or client cannot change the end ip address. CloudFlare is used as DNS and CDN service for mb.org.
This is how it works:
Step 1: How does Cloudflare work?

I'm not longer managing moviebattles.org's DNS (CloudFlare) since it was moved to another account recently.

I recommend getting a good VPN service and try to get in touch with your ISPs helpdesk.
