Hi! So I convinced my friend to buy JKA and download MBII and it's all running fine. He will join my server and it will let him spectate no problem. He can also select his class and edit his load-out, but when the round actually starts, instead of spawning he crashes. Is this a known bug? Is there anything he can do to fix it?
We tried:
  • Both engines (JAMP, and MBII)
  • Different video settings
  • Checking integrity.
After checking integrity, it uninstalled both JKA and MBII so he re-installed them both. We have not run it since then.
Some things we haven't tried are:
  • Changing servers
  • Running MBII through Jedi Academy's Multiplayer.
Any advice on what to do? So far he has a pretty shitty impression of JKA in general even when I try to convince him otherwise. Thanks!

Did you patch the game?
What platform?

There's a log that you can post that shows what the launcher found.
If you have any treats get them in hand. A puppy will shortly appear.

MBII Launcher => Settings => check "Enable logging" => Repair installation.
Post latest log from "Jedi Academy\GameData\MBII_Launcher\logs" here.

How exactly game crashes? Any error messages?

What class? Droideka? Have he tried other classes?
What videocard? Intel?
Did you patch the game?
If game wouldn't be patched server list would be empty and game crashes during opening console.

I believe he tried the Deka both times.
Droidekas are known to cause crashes on respawn. No fixes so far.

Don't know a thing about his card. He is on a low end PC. I imagine it is intel, but I am running the game perfectly and have never had problems. I have Intel HD 5500
We got a numerous reports about stability issues caused by Intel graphics, mostly on Windows 10:

Technical Issue - game started crashing even more | Movie Battles II Community
Technical Issue - Game Crashes on map change | Movie Battles II Community
Technical Issue - Everything is just white and this is a launcher issue as well | Movie Battles II Community

Some suggestions in case of Intel:

If there is opengl32.dll in "Windows\System32" folder, try copying it to "Jedi Academy\GameData".

Try updating videocard's drivers.
Try fallback to some older version of videocard's drivers.
Try installing drivers of videocard made for older Windows (Win 7):
AReResearch - Andy Reischle: Windows 10 (nearly) broke my Intel 4 Series Express graphics adapter
Windows 10 - Mobile Intel 4 Series Chipset Graphics Drivers

If you do have GLDirect installed, try removing it.
If there is no GLDirect on your computer, try installing it:
