It isn't called "connected", it's called "logged in" or "signed in". Just logging out is not enough. Delete all the cookies from moviebattles.org, or use other browser to navigate these forums -- a browser using which you never logged in to these forums, not even once. See if there any difference.

Better download new files using Launcher, probably. But make sure that you placed MBIILauncher.exe into GameData of Steam JA, AND that path in Launcher's settings is set to Steam location, not to old directory.

MBII Client isn't supposed to work yet, because you moved "rd-vanilla-mbii_x86.dll" out of GameData and because "rd-vanilla_x86.dll" is in GameData. But you should be able to play via "openjk.x86.exe - ярлык" while having Launcher running in background. And this bugs me the most... Very...
