Launcher Launcher update + other problems with download...

So I got Jedi Academy during this years Summer Sale, while playing I remembered a certain mod that you all may know (Trust me on this, I think you'll know it) called Movie Battles II. I am absolutely awestruck by this mod and I am excited to dive right into it! However, I cannot dive just yet. When installing the launcher last night, I ran into some problems. My first problem was that when I ran the launcher, it said it needed to be updated, so I decided to update it, but then the launcher vanished! So I had to download it again, this time though, I skipped the update and ta-da! The launcher loaded...but I couldn't do anything with it because it wasn't updated. I looked it up and it seems this has been a problem before? Now this was around midnight or nearing 1:00 in the morning for me, so I just decided to try and fix it myself, moved some files here and there....now my Jedi Academy MP isn't working at all. I've attached screenshots of the message I'm getting when attempting to load the MP and of my GameData folder. It wouldn't hurt to mention that I have the Steam version of the game.

Regarding the launcher issue, your anti-virus is almost certainly hitting a false positive on it. You will need to white list it as safe. Only a few anti virus venders are affected by this but they are also the ones that don't take false positive reports unless you're a customer :(

Forgive me for not understanding this, while I am "tech-savvy" in some cases, anti-virus software's are definitely not a stongpoint! So what do you mean they don't take false positive reports unless you're a customer? And to white-list the game do I just open up my anti-virus, find the game, etc, and whitelist it? Thank you for the reply!

Just white-list MBIILauncher.exe in anti-virus program you have, or shut down your anti-virus software completely if you don't know how to this.

You can download latest version of Launcher by these links:
http://update.moviebattles.org/launcher/MBIILauncher.exe
http://update.moviebattles.org/launcher/AutoUpdate.exe
http://update.moviebattles.org/launcher/MBII_Patcher.dll
All those files must be placed in "Jedi Academy\GameData".
