I attempted to update the launcher when trying to play today, I got this error message. When I clicked continue It went to the 'Downloading MBII 2 launcher, please wait for about 30 minutes. I took my friends advice and removed all files related to MBII mod. I'm now attempting to fully reinstall MBII and it tells me to download updated version of launcher so i'm back where I started with the same error message. Error message is:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Please help me fix this so I can play.

No I haven't, I was using avast. Is there a link where I can download the new MBII with the update or should I just keep trying to update it with the mb2 installer I have now, just with my anti virus disabled? Also do you know what the error is caused by?
Edit:
Ok, i've tried it without my anti virus and all protection down.
I still get the same error and this screen.

The error message suggests that the downloaded file is being corrupted. Anti-Viruses are the most common reason why this might happen (They lock the file to check it and don't release it quickly enough).

Can you take a screenshot of whats in the folder where your launcher is at the moment please.

Manual installation steps are in the first post of this thread - Launcher Update Released

Create a folder under GameData called MBII. That's a known bug I've already got a fix for. But want to roll out the minimiser fix at the same time.

I have done that but I get the same error.

Do I put MBII launcher in that folder?

EDIT: Ok so I put MBII launcher back where it was and just let it attempt to update with an empty MBII folder in GameData. I'll just leave it and see if it updates cause I didnt get the error and the 'Updating MBII launcher' is more animated now. My friend said it has to do with my Microsoft.net framework and that that has become corrupted and I need to reinstall, how would I go about that? or is he wrong and it's a problem with MBII

Well, whatever I did, MBII isn't installing because of this Framework Windows.Net thing. I ran the Microsoft Framework repair tool and it couldn't fix it. You guys know of a way to reinstall them without dabbling in the registry? I believe that after that, the error will be fixed, allowing me to play.

So this means the MBII launcher file is corrupted.

This is another copy of the MBII launcher that I downloaded, it's also wrong.

Where can I find one thats is good and not broken.

EDIT: I deleted all MBII Launcher files from my pc and then redownloaded it. Each time I tried this I got a MD5 that is not the correct one. I'm really sorry for all your time i'm using but I just want to know how to fix this so I can play. @Defiant

@Defiant According to your MD5 Hash generator, every MBII Launcher I download has the wrong File Checksum compared to the one you sent. Is there a fix? I really just want to play, i'll reinstall JKJA If I must.. I've been looking through simmilar threads and I tried all this to no avail.

I also tried Framework repair tool and it couldn't fix something in my installation, some files it sent to windows for further analysis which makes me think it's my windows.NET framework that's messed up, because of this stupid windows update.

I also have that issue about launching it ive Tried to put it in the mb2 folder and deleted Every mod and tried to reinstall it but still getting the message. i think it has to do with Just In Time files (Jit files) I really don’t know.
