no tutorials on youtube not even this website this has no been discussed at all and there's a lot of people like me that doesn't understand.....every mod says- add pk3 file to base on jedi academy......that same mod will not work for MOVIE BATTLES 2 because its has no base file if a lot of people play MBII why is this not discussed more ....its almost like were supposed to know where the pk3 file goes when it comes to movie battles 2.

Just drop .pk3 files into your "MBII" folder.
E.g.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Academy\GameData\MBII
That one.
You don't drop MBII mod .pk3's into "base". You put them in "MBII".

What are you trying to "Mod"?

Just like you said, base file mods such as models or maps go into the "base" folder inside your gamedata folder. When you download Movie Battles II, it's own separate folder is installed into the gamedata folder under the name "MBII".

Base JKA mods wont work on MB2 without some editing to their files. Models for example, have to be read by the game in a specific way to either replace an existing model, or to be added as a custom model. Maps have to be edited to be used under MBII's version of the base siege game mode.

Those are all base/single player supported models and skins. You would have to dissect the specific combinations you want from each pk3 file and compile it into your own pk3.

In addition to what noob linked, our wiki linked on this website has pages like this:

Tools with tutorials, tools, etc. on it.

However, I had no idea JKHub added a tutorials section for MB2. So maybe we can utilize that.

You just create it yourself, the model_default.skin
Edit it with a notepad, and the most important : make sure the pathing is right in each .skin files.

Glad you found this thread helpful. By the way, I noticed in your bio that you're into casino games. Can you recommend me some sites?

Atlast the reason behind these bot spam.
Now let's hope a moderator can clean the forum from this.

model_<whatever>.skin
whatever=the name you give your skin.

Sorry to reply to such an old post, but I'm new to the mod and was under the impression that there were not battles in this mod. I've seen plenty of videos of people playing out the movie battles with cutscenes and tons of clone troopers (that kinda act like bots) etc.9apps

You might be thinking of a different mod, Movie Duels. This is infact Movie BATTLES.
