Hello, i come to this post coz i have the same problem. I have Beeline ISP too. My question to support about mb2 site blocking. They answer they blocking Ip 104.24.101.26. Is there any news?
So almost two weeks CIS part of this community (which is almost as active as the whole rest European part of it) reporting this problem and all you might do is to suggest to use VPN and post some fun jokes?
Good job. I think you need to release a hotfix asap. To put some good sign at the main page of launcher. Something like: We don't care about you, fellow players. Regards, devs.
Just for you, I'll also provide it's on russian, so you can make your point even stronger.
"Нам похуй на русских игроков. Подпись: охуевшие буржуи."
Feel free to use it.
MovieBattles.org is hosted on private/dedicated server alone. CF is giving IP addresses randomly(tied to acc), and customer service or client cannot change the end ip address. CloudFlare is used as DNS and CDN service for mb.org.
This is how it works:
Step 1: How does Cloudflare work?
I'm not longer managing moviebattles.org's DNS (CloudFlare) since it was moved to another account recently.
I recommend getting a good VPN service and try to get in touch with your ISPs helpdesk.
ye, because it's easier for 200 ppl to contact their service provider to receive answer: "sorry we can't do nothing" than to change IP adress of this website. You can't control it, seriously? Well, try to change your provider maybe? You are developers for god's sake, you took a responsibilitty. And at least 1/3 of your community has some problems and you are posting jokes about Putin... Well, ye good attitude. At least simple message: "sorry we can't do anything about it atm, here's our recommendations on how to avoid this situation:..." in launcher would be good.We can't control the IP that CloudFlare assigns to us. Sadly it is beyond our reach to go around this. Contact your service provider and inform them of this issue.
If people can't connect to moviebattles.org how do you propose we push a launcher message out to them?
Even if we could get Cloud Flare to do something there nothing to stop the new IP also being blocked. Or being blocked somewhere else.
It's a political problem, we sympathise but that's about all we can do. Take action in whatever lawful way in your location to instigate change - I.e. Go out and vote.
Holy shit, that's tough.memes
knowyourmeme and deviantart are blocked on SkyNet ISP.
Fortunately, I've moved to another ISP and now I can be meme-educated and become an artist.
Why are you so sure? Have you even tried to request IP change?customer service <...> cannot change the end ip address
Excuse me? Moved to another account? RECENTLY?it was moved to another account recently.
Impossible. VPN costs money.I recommend getting a good VPN service
I'm already doing this, but no luck so far.try to get in touch with your ISPs helpdesk.
Did they provide any reasoning why do they block 104.24.101.26?They answer they blocking Ip 104.24.101.26.
lmao, so accurate"Нам похуй на русских игроков. Подпись: охуевшие буржуи."
I suppose you didn't even tried. We can't control the IP that CloudFlare assigns to us.
Nobody suggests changing hosting providers yet.start changing providers all of a sudden like you suggest
I use Opera Presto (Opera 12, not that Chromium garbage).Chrome/Firefox extension.
Meanwhile, I've found a new record in the registry of banned sites: Реестр запрещенных сайтовJudging by this link, a restriction was canceled the same day it was accepted. Probably Beeline overlooked it by accident.

Yes, moved. Because I left, and since I'm not easy to catch, it was moved to another account which allows devs to easy manage DNS without reaching me.Excuse me? Moved to another account? RECENTLY?
So maybe it's the reason of all disaster? Maybe moviebattles.org had some other IP in the past, but them DNS was moved to other account, and that caused IP change to the one that is banned in Russia?
Why are you so sure? Have you even tried to request IP change?
You are their client.
You pay them money.
They just don't do it, unless you have enterprise account, you may have some luck.I suppose you didn't even tried.
If there is no user interface to change your IP, contact CF via e-mail and ask them to change your address manually.
Explain the situation. Provide as much details as possible.
If everything is going to stay as it is now, I will have no option other than reporting the drug shop to other Russian ISPs, which, apparently, will result blocking moviebattles.org by those ISPs.
If I'm unable to access MBII site and MBII update system, no Russians should have an access as well.
Give away your account to other devs then.Yes, moved. Because I left, and since I'm not easy to catch, it was moved to another account which allows devs to easy manage DNS without reaching me.
Maybe if more players will be affected by this blocking, both you guys and Cloudflare will be more active solving this issue? How's that gonna help?
I'm just being a person who doesn't have a direct access to these forums since Nov, 28.Sounds like you are just being an ass at this point to be honest, Puppytine.
That's good.Goodoldben has already stated he has contacted Cloudflare and is awaiting a response.
Give away your account to other devs then.
Your ISP is blocking IP address, and you are making it our fault and our problem. And you are just being somebody who aren't very concerned about those who cannot use your site anymore, to be honest.
But I want to point out that I already published all my e-mails from/to Beeline support service.
I expect you to do the same.
Nothing to fix on our end, nothing is broken. And for memes, why people keep talking about it. This is MB2 forum, not some subreddit with pictures.I just remember you reacted soooooo much faster during memegate, deleting pictures and banning users on sight.
Sounds like removing memes that nobody complains about is more important for you than fixing blocking of forums and mod's update system.
MBII dev team has very strange priorities.
Your priorities can be seen pretty clearly; I've provided an example from real life, basing on real events. An actual argument. You know nothing about the priorities of the dev team, Puppytine
Exactly.So... I should just give away my account to other devs so you can visit forums.
Exactly.Your ISP is blocking IP address, and you are making it our fault and our problem.
You're supposed to help your users anyway you can, solving their problems, fixing bugs.Nothing to fix on our end, nothing is broken.
Since you spent enormous amount time and effort removing pictures nobody was complaining about, I expect you to spend x10 time and effort solving this issue, because honestly, it's impossible to compare an importance of cleaning forums from some pics and an importance of having access to web-site and the update system. And for memes, why people keep talking about it. This is MB2 forum, not some subreddit with pictures.
