the jetpack cooldown and rocket timer things are good points, i'd be fine with the timer being reduced if that 0.5 seconds inability to rocket thing or something like it was added, something I'm actually suggesting for mando is giving the mando DR while in the rocket animation, but still having the damage accumulate to the flinch number ignore DR, for example: if my gun does 30 damage per shot, when I shoot the mando while he's firing his rocket, the accumulated flinch damage increases by 30, but the actual damage the mando takes is like 15-20, this way they arent throwing their life away during the increased rocket timer. People can still cancel the rocket, but the mando isn't throwing his life away by attempting it.
I kinda like that idea, but if its applied with the 1,5 seconds bullshit still there, then it just leaves mando open for a saber kill, wook slap amd etc.
Another issue to consider is that Mandos can be pushed and knocked down or naded and knocked down while theyre preparing to fire the rocket, so I wonder how your proposed mechanic would interact with that.
I also think that this idea is a bit too complex on calculations when you also add the firing cancellation nerf that was added in this update. The game would have to make several calculations related to the damage dealt to Mando over a certain timespan, and considering how ancient the game is, doing something like that will most likely lead to glitches and bugs. In comparison making a Mando incapable of using a rocket for half a second after the jetpack deactivation is a much more simple solution, would be probably pretty easy to implement and wouldn't require as much testing.

Worst patch in a while. The only good change is removing the idiotic font on the loadscreens....
Wtf is with this idiotic ugly timer skin now? its the ugliest thing ever. And removing the game timer when ur specing? what the hell? r u idiots?

I mean if u can't hit anything then sure I guess this is most likely a buff for you. Westars did need a nerf, these other changes don't make any sense. U can tell its literally 1 dev just powertripping here not knowing what he's actually doing who doesn't even play manda.

Why is mag plating 14 points? This doesnt open any viable builds up, this is idiotic.

the ui also bugs when choosing saber hilts depending on your ui selection options. it changes language of the hilts and just crashes if u choose them. U need TO BUG TEST BEFORE U SHIP SOMETHING. THis is stupid. Most basic of basic precautions were not taken here. And we have 2 hero skins of mara jade that are the exact same.....cmon u lazy idiots. The old Dev team is rolling their eyes so hard right now. All sense of integrity has long been lost on this poor excuse of a team u have now. U even let people who have 0 Game development skills join the team now....like wtf?!?!? They just use that power for their own shitty eggo stroking u kno? Do u care? u clearly dont.

All you are doing is enabling the incest and inbreeding that has taken over this community. Take a clear position and go with it. It's not rocket science. People who posted "thankyou for this" posts used to get flagged and have their posts removed. I would kno, I was one of them. Now you do that And u get a chance to be a dev's friend and influence what they add/remove from the next patch. Stop being apart of the problem.
Trying to not feed the troll trying to not feed the troll. too late. Anyways, im enabling the incest of the community because I said the patch was good? What LOL. "Take a clear position and go with it", Idk where that came from, have no idea what you're even referring to here. Also, sorry to any devs reading this but no for the most part except for a few I am not fond of the devs. I argue with them all the time in beta chat, and find many of them to be rude. In fact most of the devs that I interacted with did not even like these changes except for a few. The only influence I have is being on the beta team, acting like I say "good patch" means I somehow am trying to influence the dev team is odd and shows your obvious ignorance on the actual situation.

Unless this was changed, you can avoid getting pushed over while in the rocket animation by holding either walk or crouch. I forget which one or if both work. It's the same for rolling aswell.

Really good update imo, the devs have done great with this patch.

As a mando main, the rocket change was warranted and I don't even know how all these people are crying about it. Have they even played this update yet? It's still so easy to rocket people as most of the mb2 playerbase doesn't even know how to move their mouse properly, and when you come up against someone who can, don't braindead rocket in front of them to get flinched.

Oh no I can't rocket this gunner that is actually better than me now mid gunfight because he can prevent me from out skilling him with one button, let me go cry on the forums about it.
Go and actually read what exactly people are complaining about. Some changes are alright, like the rocket launch being cancelled after Mando takes 55 damage, but the 1.5 seconds of being helpless is bullshit, especially when you consider that jetpack cooldown is several seconds long and if you use rocket at any point during this cooldown, then you'll have to wait those 1.5 seconds out and hopefully not die. These changes are severely punishing Mando for using their main advantage - mobility. They couldve mitigated it my making the jetpack cooldown shorter, or applying similar changes to ARCs, but they didnt, and instead ARCs got HUGE buffs, one of which greatly increased their mobility on average, something that mando was punished for using.

Unless this was changed, you can avoid getting pushed over while in the rocket animation by holding either walk or crouch. I forget which one or if both work. It's the same for rolling aswell.
I edited the post, adding several other possible problems with that ideas implementation. Also crouching/walking button press works ONLY against push, not to mention that ARCs dont have to bother with it, which imo is unfair..
Also, instead of nerfing mandos so hard, the devs couldve just buffed ARCs instead by changing the "prepared rocket" mechanic to "rocket prepared in advance" (allowing ARCs to keep the rocket loaded when switching weapons) and reducing the maximum amount of rockets they can get to 3, and making them incapable of firing it midair. That way ARCs with rockets wouldnt have to use ambush tactics all the time and would be able to play more aggressively.

Mando mobility wasn't changed at all, you still have all the same mobility options. The only caveat is you now have a 1.5x timer for your mobility only WHILE you are firing a rocket that can literally kill a an entire team with a single button. Yes an entire team I've seen it happen.

Again, mobility was only limited while pressing the 15 point I win button. Use positioning and don't Mando rush sui ide rocket and you'll be fine. Use tactics thay aren't press a single button and win and you'll be fine. Have you actually played much with the new changes? I have and I played Mando extensively, I got off plenty of rockets that killed several people simply because I used positioning, and timing, and my brain simply.

Also about the whole mobility thing. I know this is going to open a whole can of worms, but technically mb2 is balanced around rebel classes having the mobility and imperial having the fore power. Which is why imps are 90% of the time on defense in this game. Fire power for imps, mobility for rebs. Mando and deka are the weird ones that aren't quite like that because of jetpack, and don't even get me started in dekas weirdness lol.

Anyways, the rocket nerf simply isn't nearly as much as people are making it out to be. Give it a chance, you will be surprised on how much of a nerf it really isn't. And besides, in almost every other way ma do got extremely buffed this patch. Convergent pistols are insane, ee3 is very good now, flame thrower is better against wooks.

Well arcs cant fly, and they have to hold the rocket launcher in their hands first so it gives the enemy A LOT of warning before they go for it, and the point of nerfing the mando rocket wasn't to bring it up to par with arc rockets, it was so that a mando couldn't just press the rocket button whenever they were losing a gunfight or during a flyby and have next to no counter abilities WITHIN the time frame (this is why sec nades, melee, etc weren't super viable against the rocket, if you rocket from like 10 feet away, you do not actually have time to swap to these weapons and use them effectively, the most consistent counter to mando rocket has been push or conc blob)

And another reason why arc rockets arent as oppressive as mando rockets were, is because the arc has to keep it out and loaded to do it, he's effectively gimping himself just to go for some rockets that have far more warning than mando rockets have

Its just that Ive seen people complain that "if mando has brains then pre-nerf rocket was a certain kill" but the same can be said about rocket ARCs using ambush tactics.

certain kill as in with little room for counter, ON TOP of having all the strengths of not needing to swap to your rocket, see if a rocket arc is running about, I know he's going to go for a rocket, however if I see a mando running around, I never know when he's going to rocket, he can choose to try shooting me with his already really powerful guns, he can back off at any point with his jetpack, OR he can just press rocket and end the fight right there. Now if the mando chose to rocket 2 feet away from me, its very easy to swap to melee and cancel it, but if he keeps his space, because he's got brains and chose to space himself in the gunfight before hand, the option of melee (or sec nade cause you gotta swap to it then prime it long enough to throw it at distance) isn't exactly viable unless you're a player who just holds W. and while you can say its the same for arc, arc does not condition me to play a certain way because arc cant fly, or use his guns when holding his rocket launcher. basically with a rocket arc, all I have to deal with is a rocket, and I can expect it, but with a Mandalorian, FIRST I have to deal with his normal guns and gadgets, THEN I have to deal with his rocket.

Again, you didnt read. You are PUNISHED for using your mobility by either being immobile for a very long time if you use the rocket, OR not using the rocket at all for even longer.

Suicide bombing isnt a win. Also, again, just make it impossible to use rocket for 0.5 seconds after turning off the jetpack - problem solved. You know, instead of punishing with 1.5 seconds of immobility for pressing the "win" button while jetpack is on cooldown (wuich takes at least 3 seconds, which when added up with 1.5 second wait can be as long as 4.5 seconds of no rocket)

Firepower for imps my ass. Mando rifle and pistols are just all around shittier versions of arcs guns. BH gets only 1 nade, which is nowhere near as good as getting 2 or 3 frags the heroes get. BH gun melee is shot when compared to Hero dash. T21 is shit when compared to a280. Fire nades are worse and more expensive than sonic nades, not to mention that sonic nades are far better suited for defence (if you dont know this then you never played Smuggler I guess). Lvl 2 Bowcaster is far better than lvl 3 SBD blaster. Wooks get supermelle AND rage bullshit if they choose melee over range options, dont have to deal with Battery Recharge bullshit, etc. etc., this shitty class was a problem for a long time. The only real firepower IMPs had was Mando rocket, BH rifles and Dekas, now they only have BH stuff and Dekas, which are pretty easy to counter.

EE3 being a barely competent rifle now means fucking nothing. ARC pistols are still better anyway, so who cares that pistols are kinda stronger now, it still benefits ARCs more than mandos. Flamer was NEVER any good against wooks cuz they can just rush through it and bash your ass with their 400 hp. Wake the fuck up. Go try the new wait time for the rocket before saying it isnt that big of a nerf. I already pointed out how it couldve been fixed instead, just make it impossible to use rocket for half a second after turning off the jetpack. If that is not enough, make it 1 second instead. ANYTHING is better than turning a mando into a sitting duck for 1,5 seconds not letting the rocket to be used for anywhere from 1.5 seconds to fucking 4,5 (if jetpack cooldown is 3 seconds long, it may be 4 seconds, which means 5.5 seconds of no rocket).

Dont ever say MB2 and balanced in the same sentence, not until wooks get their HP reduced

Just treat a mando as an arc with a loaded rocket - problem solved. Its not a balance issue, its an issue with your tactics. Backing off and turning on the jetpack is shit and if you ever played mando you would know it. Why? Cuz if you jetpack while backing off, you will move very slowly for about a second, and if you turn around and jetpack to retreat, you wont be able to fight back for about the same amount of time.

Please give us a way to disable showing the score with the timer. Shit is dumb as hell imo

There is a way to disable it. However, it is not dumb. Look at CSGO, Valorant, etc. They also have the score next to the timer like that and share some of the core game ideas. Yes you can say that rounds matter less in mb2 than those games, but thats only a problem because servers set absurd limits. Also, we have something called CTF coming soon, which is even more important to have it that way. The same with Conquest as well as wanting to make intermissions more meaningful. Its there to plan ahead for the future, so no it isn't "dumb as hell".

I didn't know about the CTF coming soon thing, so I'll take back what I said. I can see it being more useful for that. With the current game modes though, I don't see the point of it. When doing scrims, for example, if you have to newround at all then the scoreboard will be off thus defeating the point.
