Launcher Launcher not recognizing MBII installation?

So, I downloaded the launcher as a .exe from the website, but I was always having issues with it getting stuck at any percentage and simply not continuing downloading, probalby due to my shit connection, though it once got to 79%, it didn't go any further from there, whether I used complete or basic install.

So I decided to download it from the torrent and everything worked out great.

Now, I deleted the downloaded launcher and just pasted in the GameData folder the torrented files, but it won't recognize the installation, forcing me to enter through the .bat file, in which case I simply get thrown out of the servers with a message telling me to run the launcher and to keep it open.

Should I simply try and reinstall everything or is there another option?

I've found no other errors and I could play on my own, don't know if I can add bots, but I can't join any server.

If it helps I have the GOG version of the JA

I deleted the downloaded launcher
Wrong decision, download it again and place it to "Jedi Academy\Game Data".
pasted in the GameData folder the torrented files
Make sure you unpacked big torrent, and then small client side hotfix.
You need both files. Single torrent file is not enough!
Take it all from here: Download . Right pane, click to unfold.
but it won't recognize the installation
Click "Install". Launcher won't attempt to download files that you already have.
a message telling me to run the launcher and to keep it open.
