Erm, No Fullscreen Windowed?

Because if not it's going to be almost impossible getting into this game, without the ability to follow guides etc for things like key setup and other stuff that you need to check in-game.

Can't even get to the browser/desktop through task manager. Definitely not the good ol alt+tab.

Tried googling but nothing seemed to show up. It's a pretty big oversight so is there something i'm doing wrong, or missed?

The launcher has built a built in minimizer that you can set a hotkey for in settings. If that doesn't work for you you can try Q3E minimizer. Alt+tab doesn't work with JAMP but it should work if you run the game through openJK (MBII Client in the launcher settings).

If you have Windows 10 you can use Win+Tab combo and drag mb2 on a new desktop (bottom right corner). Then you can switch to browser ingame with Win+Crtl+Left and Win+Ctrl+Right to go back.

MBII Client has a cvar r_noborder iirc that toggles window frame.

I use the Borderless Gaming program. Makes any windowed game into no border.
