This is an issue with the engine. If someone is not in visible range (maps visibility not what you can physically see) it won't show them on the mini-map. Yep that is more or less what I notice too. People RP in bursts then get tired of it.

Conquest got some work recently... still needs more code and UI support though. Part of the reason DOTFv2 didnt get finished for 1.4 (Main objective changed to a conquest node) Other part me leaving again and spag not having the time to finish.
