After testing again there is still pb, just no crosshair cursor indicator and sound.

Changing this that there is still pb in play.

The PB indicator crosshair cursor no longer shows up and plays the sound.

Since the new r20 there are certain maps that fail to properly load like mb2_deathstar/enclave. So what happens is, it will begin to load a small chunk in then crash to linux desktop. So I am gathering the mbii.i386 binary needs to be updated for this to properly load. Just thought I'd let you...

I would like to share the fix I found using Spaghetti VPN Monitor to have it working on current Linux servers. I am using a fork from MBII-Galactic-Conquest that is based on Spaghetti's and can be found under my Github at VPN Monitor. If you are having issues getting this to work, I can help out.
