Does it happen on every server? It may be a network issue. Other than that are you running on 1 core, any recent driver updates, etc?

I believe there is a .bat in the zip that will launch it for you. Or if you have the Steam version, put (+set fs_game "MBII") without parenthesis in the launch options

Tbh, I think new styles need to be more balanced/revised before adding more.

I'm not sure about changing cvars. But the command is something like /rconpassword {password}. Just do /rcon in game and it should tell you how to log in. I only used it for changing to devmap to allow cheats :D
