I know some people changed walking to default for some reason, but that is quite bad. You should always be as fast as possible. Movement and distancing is important for defending and chasing down opponents, so definitely have it run by default and just hold shift to walk when you attack.
The things you mentioned haven't disappeared, lol. Being a noob is just punished vs good players. PB being able to regen BP does not eliminate other skills in the game. PB being strong actually rewards skills like halfswinging, comboing, yawing and parrying. Shadowswinging is still possible but...
Swingblocking is enough. Holding walk and not swingblocking increases the damage of your swings from 1.0x to 1.1x so you can use that when doing 4 hit combos, but in general it's good practice to rely mostly on swingblocking for single and dual hits. Although it's also perfecrly fine to hold...
I think the compromise of RoF vs bullet speed is interesting and could work out well. After all, there's a big difference between firing a CR3 while homing on your target, vs using e-11 primary or pistol 3.
I think cover and positioning should matter, and being caught in the open fighting vs a guy in cover means you should be at a disadvantage. My point was not addressing the passive gameplay directly, rather I was talking specifically about soldier/commander gameplay because they are squishier...
Yeah I might be down with that idea. I'm imagining something like 8 for heavies and 6 for medium and 4 for fast, but I am not sure it's possible to regen half a bp tick on PB in code. We found during testing that 4 BP regen per tick on PBs meant that recovery was quite hard for medium styles on...
I am not sure about that. He was dueling a sith on falcon and would've gotten taken out by a proj in that scenario 10/10 so his experience as a noob was not being impacted poorly. I think sometimes it actually helps them understand better if they die faster. Ppl that run in a straight line vs a...
It's a valid point, but also remember that teammates and cover exist. I was able to go like 21/1 which became like 36/5 purely as soldier on lunarbase. Part of that is cover and teammates plus fighting against a bunch of noob jedi which were free kills, but the purpose of soldier/commander is...
Yeah you're pretty much right. I had my reservations about staffs AP/BP numbers and said so, including that it was gonna be strong/OP. What do you think should be adjusted on staff to make it balanced? The obvious thing is that it's defense level is almost the same as blue's, yet it has much...
Oh yeah that reminds me. First person with dynamic 1 was kind of fucked up close to obstacles, like the railing on lunarbase upper. I turned it back to 2 immediately so I haven't investigated it in detail, but there is something buggy about dynamic 1, probably.
Nice list. It provides something to respond to so allow me to give my take.
Bowcaster: I would like to see green bolts and charged bouncing shots (like arc) make a return. In recompense lower its RoF and balance it around precision + the charge bounce. That coupled with strong melee would make...
You're just wrong about the BP regen on PB, so I won't respond any more than I already have about it. Go to the changelog and find the numbers and do the math and you will see. Already responded to this once but I will say it again. 24 BP regen for 3 hits. 33 BP dmg in yvy 3 hit combo. What's...
I'm obviously in support of keeping the projectile speeds and I'll be sad if it's reverted. Probably wont play much open mode if projectile speeds decrease since it's part of why it makes it so much more fun for me in 1.5 than in 1.4.9 to play open. I can really feel my aim + prediction makes a...
I think the speeds are good. Even though it impacts arc-fu or whatever and same goes for deka rolling, jedi/sith sideways dodging etc. You can more easily hit targets moving at high velocity which I think makes the game more fun as it reduces the amount of possible cheese. I don't play much arc...
No one has said the patch is perfect afaik. I think we all know it's not and want to improve it.
BP regen per PB = 8.
8*3 = 24 (not 50? wtf)
So perfect blocking 3 hits nets you a whole 24 BP, oh my god. But nvm, we all know how easy it is to PB people that can attack properly with yaw and...
