Launcher can start the game on Linux, but you've got to get Launcher into the right folder relative to OpenJK.

Can you try deleting the following file: MBII\PatchStatus.xml And the following folder (Startkey + R -> %localappdata% -> ok): Movie_Battles_Team

Just restart launcher and it will resume on the file that the download stopped at. If you want to be sure, once launcher says download is complete you can run a repair to validate your installation.
