Hello everyone. Some of you have had the pleasure of playing there already, but for those that haven't I have started hosting a new server - Taivas Academy (Discord)
For those living under a rock, Taivas is a new clan that I've made and is meant to be going live by the end of September / start of October; a post will be made with all the relevant information soonTM (though if you join the Discord, all the information is already there lol)

Anyway! The reason for this post is for clarity & suggestions. I am going to include an admin list with who has SMOD for moderation & the server guidelines / rules, as well as leave the thread open for you - the community - to make suggestions on what you want from this server. I've been advertising it as a solid middle ground between the sweaty, stinky competitive side & the stupid, low iq, timewasting trolls. Basically I'm striving for an "authentic MBII experience" - before all the tryhards & over-the-top trolling shenanigans. FUCK LEGENDS, this server is for the DUEL, OPEN & FA enthusiasts! So I'll get into it & hope to hear some good feedback from you all. As you were!

Sᴇʀᴠᴇʀ ʀᴜʟᴇꜱ... ꜰᴏʀ ɴᴏᴡ
1. Fʀᴇᴇᴅᴏᴍ ᴏꜰ ꜱᴘᴇᴇᴄʜ IS ᴘᴇʀᴍɪᴛᴛᴇᴅ - but is also enforceable; take it a step too far or causing someone serious distress via threats or doxxing will not be tolerated
2. Nᴏ ꜱᴘᴀᴍ ᴏʀ ᴏʀɢᴀɴɪꜱᴇᴅ ʀᴀɪᴅꜱ - I'm all for lol, copy pasta & rants but if you're flooding the chat with nonsense or TKing en-mass, then you're going to get muted or blacklisted, that stuff is aids for everyone involved
3. Nᴏ ɪʟʟᴇɢᴀʟ / ʙᴀɴɴᴇᴅ ᴄᴏɴᴛᴇɴᴛ - this applies to cheating, DDoS or piracy & anyone caught promoting or using these will be permanently blacklisted
4. Nᴏ ᴇxᴄᴇꜱꜱɪᴠᴇ ᴛɪᴍᴇᴡᴀꜱᴛɪɴɢ - same as rule 2. I'm happy for funny melees & weird gangbangs outside DS elevators (looking at you TFS) but if you're holding onto a wall in an obscure, unreachable location for 2+ minutes or running around doing nothing round after round... Then you can enjoy spec
5. Nᴏ ᴇxᴄᴇꜱꜱɪᴠᴇ ᴛᴇᴀᴍᴋɪʟʟɪɴɢ - IF and only IF everyone involved is happy with being TK'd then I have absolutely no problem with TK, I might even reset it for you! HOWEVER, if your nades & wookiee barges are affecting other players, you will be forced to spec or kicked depending on the severity. You all deserve to have fun but not at the expense of everyone else
BONUS RULE from im rebel - scrimmers and tryhards will be penalized!

Little update:

RTV
After a lot of backlash in-game, I have amended the RTV rollcall to exclude FA & duel maps while in open mode
FA & duel maps are still in the map pool, they just won't show up in the RTV rollcall when people RTV without nominating maps

VPN
Anti-VPN is also being worked on due to the high traffic of Padawan-tkers, I have apologised to a few people already who have been targeted recently but I will apologise again if this has impacted your experience too

Script(s)
Also got script(s) in the works to add to the server that will hopefully spice gameplay up a bit. I would like to reiterate that this thread & the Discord can both be used for any suggestions you may have regarding the server

More updates:

Server
- The server’s got a new killstreak announcer! Every enemy kill contributes to the streak, regardless of class slain. In open mode, it’ll trigger every 3 kills, up to a maximum of 15. In duel mode, it follows a “double” pattern - 5, 10, 25, 50 & 100 kills (considering adding 75 though as the jump from 50 - 100 is a big margin). If 15 feels a bit low for open, it’s super easy for me to add more

HUGE thanks to @Bully :welldone:

- RTV & the anti-VPN system have been a huge improvement for the server! There have been little to no complaints about RTV & mass padawan tkers have basically disappeared since the anti-VPN went live

Discord
- The Discord has a new custom bot! Equipped with admin commands, auto-message / auto-ping features & integrated RCON for smoother moderating. More features are on the way & there’s a dedicated thread for suggesting bot and / or server improvements

- Scrim team! Introduced a new dedicated scrim team channel. It was meant to be temporary during the ongoing Colosseum tournament, but we’ve decided to make it permanent. Taivas’ scrim team is open to everyone - whether you’re a member or not - so if you’re interested in competitive open or want to give it a try, feel free to jump in & ask

- We have Wordle. Huge!

"setup an event" you mean beg taivas players to come to your server cuz noone is playing there ?
