Do you have a nvidia gpu?

it's possible i use a stretched res, you can set it in your GPU driver control center app by changing GPU scaling to aspect ratio or full screen and/or play around with /r_mode <-1; 7> don't forget to vid_restart after you change it to apply the setting. i don't remember which r_mode it should be exactly and i think the gpu setting should be enough

If he has a nvidia gpu it's easily done with nvidia control panel.
