Technical Issue sound/null has length 0

This error occurs whenever I start MBII on my laptop... never happened on my main PC... what causes this?

this is a complete guess, but try making sure your output sound is set to 16 bit 48000 Hz. Try turning off EAX in game.

Right click the volume on taskbar
Sounds >Playback > Default Device > Properties > Advanced
