[SOLVED] Some issues with third person mode

So sorry if im a complete noob I just started playing the game and using movie battles 2. My problem is that whenever I do a forward jumping action with my character in third person my camera moves upwards towards the ceiling and it is annoying to say the least. I know it's not a problem that really relates much to the mod but I can't find help anywhere else. Thanks for reading :)

I have never heard of this before. By forward jumping action you mean just holding down jump, right? Maybe you somehow have your jump key bound to look up?

yeah I checked that but It's not the case. It's just aggravating because everytime I jump or force jump forward my camera will move towards the ceiling/sky and cause me to have difficulty predicting were I wanted to land. :(

My only other guess (Be it crazy) would be that if you're on a laptop, maybe your spacebar/touch pad is faulty and pressing space moves the mouse? :confused:
I got no others idea, sorry.

Yeah that's not it either. I honestly don't know what to do at this point. I wish it would just be normal were the camera stays were you have it whenever you force jump or jetpack up, but mine just has to fly up all the time. Sucks I guess lol.

Yeah I've looked in my bindlist but I have no idea what could be causing the problem. I've created a server and messed with the camera settings to see if it had any effects on my issue and had no success. Also have no issues with seizures. This is my CFG folder if you're interested:

yeah it's very minor/non-existent with the soldier classes that just have regular jumping heights but any class that can access great heights like bounty hunter jetpacking and of course force jumping have this problem in third person. Oh and yes you are also correct with the jedi force speed ability..the camera goes crazy. It does seem to look more like a tracking issue now...maybe we are getting somewere! :)

Try typing in console: /cg_thirdpersoncameradamp 1
Yours is at 0.2 which might be the cause of what you are experiencing.

And also /cg_thirdpersontargetdamp 1
You are awesome. This completely fixed the problem, I believe that I tried the camera damp option earlier but didn't also mess with the target damp as well. Thank you all for helping me finally eliminate the problem. I honestly thought id never fix it!
