Why is my server so LAGGY it says Connection intterupted every 5 sec any ideas?

Lag on the server side is most likely either related to
1) slow internet connection / heavy traffic
2) high CPU usage on the server

For hosting a smooth server you'd probably want to shut everything that might be using bandwith (such as any downloads/uploads) or CPU. If that doesn't help the upload connection probably isn't good enough for hosting.
