[SOLVED] Opening console crashes game

So i've had JKJA forever, and just found this mod. install was smooth, i hit play on the launcher, go to look for online servers (not looking for local servers) and none appear. I went and read a few forum posts, telling me to go look at a list of active servers and connect to one manually through console using the IP Address. No problem, i thinking. I get back into game with the IP address, press shift + tilda, and my game crashes every time i try to bring up console. any assistance that can be provided is greatly apprecaited.

Nevermind, i fixed it. i was running the game through JAMP and not MBII in the launch settings. i can now view server list and console no longer crashes my game.

The game usually crashes on opening console in case you didn't patch it to 1.01
Install patch and you'll be able to play using jamp.

Just to make a point here, I can launch the console fine and I run the game using JAMP through Steam without needing that patch.
