360 damage, swings faster than yellow, 1.5x increase block arc compared to other styles, high AP, five combos and hard to read swings making it OP as hell in both open and duels just remove a damn combo and nerf its damage to 280 deals more damage than purple atm in open which is just sad.

when it comes to dueling;
- extremely broken by how abusive it is
- duals swings land faster no matter in what stage your own swing is lol (interrupt simulator)
- the only real way to defeat duals is to slap
- the only real way to pb duals is to use prediction
- the only real way to counter duals (without getting interrupted on every 2nd attempt) is to run away like a dog
- duals players still manage to cry about how shit their style is (they are never switching to a different style)
- no one pays a bit of attention to blocking when they're using duals; it's all just spam and it works just fine
- their "crouch attack" compared to staff deals like 2x damage
- if someone with duals does the DFA bug they can kill you in 3 hits
- duals literally interrupt you just by playing a slap animation (or it was like this for a loooong time)
- their damage nerf hasn't done anything at all (the biggest difference was going from 16bp damage to 15bp damage against yellow -> we are talking here about like 2.5BP less damage per combo?)
- their defense is 3rd worst in the game yet it's not that different as they're trying to talk it off compared to yellow defense & you can easily counter the "weak defense" by just spamming = free parries, interrupts lol

The style sometimes has a insane ghost range hitting when it shouldn't
In open mode its faster than yellow but still 1 hits gunners
The damage nerf doesn't matter, because interrupts got buffed in a way that you can just stunlock your enemy (and it's a interrupt saber style)

At the end of the day Yle everybody probably agrees with you (except the people who have no clue/use the style themself), but nobody says it. Problem is nothing changes in the mb2 saber department except random useless changes that worsen the mode

Another method I see dual users do is crouch and spam so they don’t get slapped which works like a charm for them since they can just spam and you would get interrupted no matter what you do.

I wish someone invented a type of kick that knocks down crouching opponents

that "type of kick" is another mechanic that is rather questionable. don't see much reason why it should stagger people lol, enjoyable gameplay of getting 4hit spammed, sweepkicked > staggered, and another 4hit spam (im venting out because the dueling needs serious improvements because its rly cringe) (i can only hope new dueling patch will solve most of these)

Oh absolutely, the 4 swing --> sweep kick --> 4 swing thing is absolutely horrible and boring. What would you propose should be changed about it? Im a pretty mediocre duelist and i always thought of the sweep kick's whole purpose in dueling to be a "defense-breaker" move and the fastest kick, if u yaw it well( which applies in open much more than in dueling). But its clear in dueling that the stagger effect can be abused to a good effect.

Well the stagger should be removed and all sort of slap mechanics should have bigger cooldown. That's imo how it would be for the best; although you could then probably suffer way more with players who just spam, in this example, with duals. But other than that, yeah that's pretty much the solution to the cringe in that aspect. Sweepkick has been always known to just "help against players who crouch" so the fact it punishes people who don't crouch more than a slap seems pretty unfair to me.

I think the problem is that sweepkick is annoying, but not doing the job it's supposed to actually do. Like the speed and the range is too slow to even reaction sweep vs somebody who crouches, you can only try to sweep him by knowing he will crouch and even if he can just let go of crouch for 1 second or sb then he just gets staggered and jumps away. Somebody who just wants to move closer to the enemy or INPUT A SWING like a normal person just gets staggered and has to let go of his movement keys to avoid it (in a game where you have to press movement keys to change your attack). Most doesn't make sense, also a sweep getup animation to counter people who crouch after slapping somebody would be actually useful (without the stagger).

I think overall sweep needs to be made better to counter crouch or you can just remove the crouch feature of being able to block slaps which wouldn't hurt the game one bit. The stagger has to definitely go, but funny enough is, that the stagger on sweep got removed in the tempest patch anyway. I think side kicks can stagger there now and then it go removed later (not entirely sure on that last part)

Duals suck because they aren't fun to play with or against, even though the style is easily rolled over once you learn its timing. Give duals red's combo restriction and buff its damage a bit. It'd force you to think before you combo but leaves halfswings the same. 5 hit combos would also take some finesse to pull off without being pbed to death. Something along these lines would make the style stand out as more of an offensive halfswing style than a parry spam style, since messing up a combo direction trying to parry will get you killed quickly with duals' defense
