I want everyone participating to be on the discord channel, this is how we will report win/losses to admins as well as posting official bracket. If you are not in attendance at tournament start you will be automatically disqualified, if you cannot attend and you are on the participant list, please notify me ASAP so I can clear your name and fill your spot.


Time & Place:

1. Je'Daii Duels Server
2. November 4, 2017 | 6 pm EST time zone

Format:

1. Pre-Semi final duels will be best of 5
2. Semi-finals best of 7
3. Finals best of 9
4. 28 player Double Elimination (Winner of main bracket vs Winner of losers bracket)
5. All Styles Allowed
6. Only 4 Duels are to take place at a time!
7. $50 USD Prize
8. NA PLAYERS ONLY!!!!!

RULES:

1. All tournament duels must take place in the private rooms of map mb2_duel_training
2. No melee kills/melee KATA kills.
3. No dueling outside tournament matches.
4. Name must match name of participant list!
5. No spamming chat.
6. No trolling.
7. No Force.
8. Any form of time wasting will result in match loss.
  • Using blue/dual saber lunge to avoid engagement.
  • Acrobatics to avoid engagement. (Wall grabs/ Wall runs/Cart wheels)
  • Excessive running to avoid opponent.

The first one is silly if you're allowing all styles, and the last two shouldn't be rules if the guys are gonna duel on duel_training

Basically, you can't timewaste on duel_training

I am thinking my tournament map will be ready by the start of this tourney, which will have slightly larger rooms with more head room as well. Duel training rooms are slightly cramped.

Sounds cool, but if the duel_training rooms are cramped, why is there a no timewasting rule?

1 option could be having a relatively small circular platform in the air, so if you were to run around the edges you could be kicked off. Also having the skybox really low would prevent people from jumping too high.

Jump kick and lunges would be abusable i guess but if rules were made around them, it could work out.

We had that once and it was quite neat.
