Finally overcame one issue and have the prefix launch command in steam " +set fs_game "MBII" " I can launch the game in steam and select launch multiplayer. and get in the game but if I join a server through steam launch. I get disconnected shortly after joining saying i need the launcher to launch the game and keep the launcher open. The launcher gives me a error
Apologize for the extra post ive checked the forums but Ive got the launcher running, and installed.

couldn't exec autoexec.cfg
Z_Free(): Corrupt zone header!
Edit: my fault... Quit steam before launching the launcher and then launched the game.
