Launcher Launcher crashes on start

Hello!

Two years ago, I played MBII and calmly launched the game through the launcher. I remember this project as the best multiplayer mod for JKA! And for this reason, I decided to revisit MBII with a friend.
But I ran into a launcher crash and I tried to solve this problem myself. After reading the MBII Support FAQ, I started reinstalling several times:
NET frameworks
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable, Microsoft;
NET Framework Repair Tool Setup;
But it did not help. Trying to understand something specific from MBIILauncher_WPF_Crash, I also came to nothing.
Now I am writing to you and asking for help to deal with the problem.

What version of net framework are you using?

Have you also tried setting both the launcher and openjk in compatibility for win8?
Also running launcher as administrator?

I installed NET Framework 4.8
For the first time I hear about openjk/launcher compatibility with win8. If it is in the launcher itself at startup, then I can’t even launch it. When you try to start, the "Movie Battles II" logo appears for a second and that's it, crash.

Try installing net framework 3.5 instead.
Compatibility for win 8, right click the launcher, go to properties, compatibility tab, check the box to run compatibility with win 8.

Did running as admin do anything?

Ah, that's compatibility. There is no difference whether use compatibility or not. Run as administrator is already set on the launcher shortcut after installation. It all ends with WPF_Crash
Net Framework 3.5 I have installed.

Sounds like this is a bit more complicated than my knowledge, hopefully someone can help you with this.

One last thing, I assume since you don't have the launcher working you havent downloaded MB2 files.

If you head over to the download section and scroll down, you can manually download the mb2 files. Drop the launcher into your gamedata folder along with the direct downloaded files, see if it does anything for you.
