Technical Issue Ignore HW Gamma Locks Gamma Setting

I have a problem with the ignore HW gamma setting, when on changing the gamma does nothing. Without ignore HW gamma i have to manually change the gamma every time I minimize the game because it goes to a default gamma.

Not sure why, but with ignore HW gamma setting on, every time you change the gamma In game you have to vid_restart in order for the settings to take effect.

I was using flux I think was causing my gamma to reset to default but HW gamma doesn't work without restarting video like dwarf said.
