It can't show you what you might be doing wrong and what areas you need to improve on?
yeah i think if i could walk in a straight line without lagging out it'd really improve my game but according to your post i'm just an idiot with a bad opinion. fuck that, let's add leaderboards since they're obv. the cure to mb2 cancer and we're totally not overselling a bunch of fucking numbers on a screen.

if you're sucking at this game and you aren't smart enough to realize you're playing too unsafe while fighting jedi or sticking your head out too much against snipers, then explain to me how this same theoretical person is going to look at a scoreboard that says "you suck lol" and receive any degree of information they don't already know, lol. they don't pblock? they don't headshot? yeah, no shit. this guy isn't good so obviously he doesn't do that. your leaderboard idea isn't going to be more helpful than getting the fool to just read the first day in mb2 thread

resetting your account and playing for a few days and getting the little thing that says you killed a bunch of jedi reel guudly is a lot more interesting than being a total loser and stockpiling achievements that everyone has and nobody cares about. i'd prefer if accounts reset achievements every month just so we could all have little popups telling us we shot an e11 reel guud and shit. you're basically arguing that we should all really super duper give a shit what people think of us in a videogame when that's honestly a really bad idea and you'd be better off focusing on ideas that are fun or legitimately interesting.

Dude, just because you care about different things doesn't mean other people share what you think. There are plenty of people that have asked for this kind of thing in the past. And even then, we want some form of analytics to help us balance the game better. Less on opinions and more on fact. This is a really simple addition that can hook into a lot of the same calls after that fact and more or less ends up being a bonus of doing something like that. It isn't too hard of a thing to do relatively speaking. I did like 50 stats getting tracked in a few hours when I did it for another game.

No one also said that your stats would be exposed to everyone else either. So it could just be for your benefit. The only thing would be leaderboards and they would be reset every so often. And again, is also an example of something we COULD do. I'm not saying were gonna do it.

Fixing stuff like broken taunts in FA? Nah

Achievements who no one cares about? REAL SHIT!

Talking about things you don't know shit about? When will it end?

Who said we aren't fixing broken FA taunts when Defiant himself was asking for more repeatable instances?

Who said work has even been started on this? No one.

You don't want trolls and toxic players to have a more common identifier that makes it slightly harder for them to get around community server bans by just using VPNs or easily changing their IPs?
"Let's have a way to cut our game population in half" Seriously though people get banned for stupid reasons you should be allowed to come on with a clean slate.

Taking things out of context? When will it end?

Never said that you guys are not going to fix that, but stuff like that was pointed out by some players and it was only adressed recently, while apparently achievements is one of the most requested fixes? who in the hell cares about that? That was the joke

the only solution to any of this is to stop wasting your dev time passive aggressively posting at people on the forums and just do the cool thing you said you were going to do anyways

how many clean slates do you actually need to understand that what you were doing or your behavior wasn't an appropriate one :rolleyes:.
btw nice touch in twisting what mace said in his posting.
to this date i still dont understand some of the players behavior in this community, its like they winning some kind of prize just for being toxic/trolling, its like they need to fill an emptiness that they have in their life so they come here and do what they do, maybe instead of doing that just voice your concerns with the gameplay mechanics in a civilized manner, no one is telling you to shut up but at least be respectful about it, and if a dev is not really putting any interest on what you have to say, you can still voice it out and others are gonna join in, eventually you will get another dev attention or maybe even change the original dev to change his mind and hes gonna adapt and accept that perhaps his view is not the only one and there's also others that have different ideas/opinions and creativity that could help improve the current situation of the complain/issue.

I think this might be the first post in this 12 page thread that seems to hit the nail on the head. Public Service Announcement guys, everyone on this team does this FOR FREE and often when we have a billion things to worry about in real life. I can't speak for the rest of the team as a whole but quite a few of us have alot of crazy stuff going on right now, we regard this game as a hobby (and yes a learning experience but lets be real it's 15 year old game tech). For us to have this hobby and our individual selves ground on by people that may/may not have good points (or even know remotely what the hell they are talking about) for decisions made for a project that we have not gotten paid for or received much (if any) recognition (most players have no idea who makes the various components work, who did which maps, code, etc etc unless its explicitly mentioned or dragged out because of topics like this).

That isn't to say we shouldn't have feedback, its a must! However when certain people think their opinion matters over everything else or is the end all solution (and resort to more and more trolling tactics along with other means of wasting our time to try in their mind to get their opinion across), then it becomes a nuisance.

Given the amount of internal chat and testing I'm seeing work is being done (I myself am putting in 3 or 4 hours a day into Scarif 2 and that is on top of a full time job, family obligations and generally trying to stay above the broke as balls line), whats not working is the frequent distractions of a small group of people with way too much free time on their hands.

TL;DR - I'm politely urging you all to give some space while the issues with the next update are sorted out. This constant needling is only driving more devs into early retirement (and in some cases I'm having to reassure new devs coming on board that this current toxicity is only from a small contingent of players). If you guys want this game to continue existing you need to let us do our (unpaid) jobs. Feedback is fine but enough with the need to ram it down our dev throats with a Deathstar, note your opinions in the appropriate feedback threads and discuss it without needing to turn everything into a trolling fleet battle.

i dont understand why you guys cant accept the fact that the community will not change. the community shapes itself, you can't force it to do what you like

Don't threaten anyone, don't dox anyone, don't harass anyone, don't post racist or homophobe content, don't post anything that might make the site illegal for some people to access or us to host (Porn, terrorist propaganda ect.), don't post things that are downright illegal (warez, viruses, etc.), don't be a arsehat in general, don't advertise stuff (I mean we'll leave the spam bots next time shall we?), don't disrupt others by complaining that you got a tap on the wrist for breaking the rules.

Yup. That's some unreasonable shit right there.

That meme was unfunny. Enjoy your warning points.

Defiant you do not need to tell people "do not kill", that's a norm already. When you have guidelines limiting freedom of content (porn, gore, personal attacks should be banned) everything else just belongs here. Not sure why you are fighting this. Is it bad as it is now? Spaghetti came back and started giving warnings because he's got some PTSD and personal grudges. Take a look how SF owner is handling it. If this keeps up his Discord will be the popular one because he is not refusing anything to his community. Embrace community for what it is and stop turning it against you with stupid rules and regulations. This is no triple AAA game but a small community in which every person counts how many do you think have left when Spaghetti dropped his manifesto. Active players, your playerbase lost to something so unworthy. Cease this stupidity.
