[SOLVED] Game closes (without an error) when clicking "join"

So I've tried to find a recent post about this, just in case it was something to do with the new update.. If this was answered, I'm sorry for asking again.

HOWEVER...

Whenever I try to click "join" the game closes. No error message, music stops and it closes. It's happened every time so far and I am trying to figure out why.. maybe someone can help?

Nevermind, fixed it myself. Thanks anyways! Glad I can get back in the duels

Would you mind posting your solution for anyone who might stumble upon this thread in the future?

Anyone that does run into this problem, in the launcher settings, change the "Engine" to "MBII Client".

I felt dumb that I didn't do that before but the launcher doesn't preset that, so once I did that, I was able to get in without an issue from the launcher.

Okay thanks. I'm curious now if you can join base servers without MBII, but I'll leave it at that.
