Technical Issue Could not open GL subsystem

Hey guys,

I recently downloaded windows 10 and now i have not been able to play the game...

I have made sure that I am only viewing this on one monitor, not two, so that is not the issue.

According to what I know, I have downloaded all the C++ redistributables that I need, so I am at a loss as what to do now.

I really want to play! :)

Okay so i dont know how to "assign" Jamp to use the files you provided. I did what you said and put the file where you told me.
Wow, now I started to think that you never actually launched MB2, always launching base JA instead...

You need to unzip one of config to C:\Program Files (x86)\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\MBII folder. I hope you have such folder, and it full of .pk3 files.
Then you need to start Movie Battles.

If you don't have Steam (stand-alone JA):
Launch C:\Program Files (x86)\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\Play_MBII.bat.
or
Use MBII Launher, set "Run game using: JAMP" in settings, then click Play.

If you do have Steam:
Right click on Jedi Academy in your Steam Library and select Properties. You should see a button labeled Set Launch Options. Select that, and in the text field copy and paste +set fs_game "MBII". Whenever you start Jedi Academy Multiplayer through Steam it will automatically load to Movie Battles II. If you want to run base, or another modification, you will need to remove or modify the launch options.
The other issue is that I cannot have two of the same file in the folder. So I can only move one jampconfig.cfg not two into that folder.
Indeed you can't. It supposed you complete steps above with *one* file, then do same with another.
First config will force resolution to 1024x768, second will turns window mode on.
So you have two files, have to run game twice, grab two logs and post them both on forum.

And tell me, what steps do you usually perform when you launch base Jedi academy, and what do you do to start MBII?
Please read:
Installation & Troubleshooting Guide

After you complete mentioned steps, you can try to run JA or/and Movie Battles in Windows compatibility mode.
Right-click to jamp.exe, select Properties, select Compatibility, pick some OS (Windows XP, for example), check "Run this program as an administrator", click OK.
Launch Jedi Academy. Or MB2. Better both, one after another. Repeat for other OS (Windows 7...).

I read the wiki, thank you for that.

Tried it on various systems 98, XP, vista, 7, 8. didnt work for any of them from JAMP.

I normally go to JAMP directly or MBii.x86

Damn. I guess it will be much harder than I thought.

Now I want you to do:
  1. Create a shortcut for Jedi Academy\GameData\mbii.x86.exe.
  2. Right-click on that shortcut, click "Properties".
  3. Add
    Code:
    set +fs_game "MBII"
    to target field.
  4. Rename my first config from jampconfig.cfg to openjk.cfg, keep it inside MBII folder.
  5. Launch shortcut you've created.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for second config file.
If you still get an errors, post both logs here.

Googling inet about your issues, I've found a lot people having same problems, and mostly without solution :(.
It's commonly mentioned that Intel doesn't provide drivers for your video on Win 10, and OpenGL get screwed.

So you should try to install these drivers:
Windows 10 - Mobile Intel 4 Series Chipset Graphics Drivers
Please follow that manual, then repeat starting up Movie Battles using uploaded configs, post two (or four, jamp and mbii.x86.exe) more logs.

It would be nice if you make a screenshot of your video card properties (Device Manager) *before* installing drivers, and one more screenshot *after* that, i.g. upload *two* screenshots.
This is an example of shot a wanna see:

There is something wrong with your link, since logs show no any MBII folder.
Check it again or post screenshot of link properties.

Not sure. You do it at your own risk, sorry. But I just can see any other option...

If your system will not boot after that, try to hit F8 very fast just after POST screen, then pick "Safe mode" or "Last known good configuration".
Or reboot computer three times.
Or google about safe mode Win 10 before installing drivers.

Uninstalling/reinstalling drivers shouldn't mess your machine up if you do it right.
