Unconfirmed Clone Ion Charge Bar Vanishing

The red bar that shows up when charging a clone ion can sometimes disappear about 2/3 of the way through. Unknown cause or trigger as of yet.

I've seen this myself multiple times. Tends to happen in my experience when I switch weapons to prevent firing the blob (akin to faking conc nades) and switch back to start charging it again.
