Technical Issue Changing brightness doesn't work

Having an issue where whenever I change the brightness of the game, it changes for about 1 second then switches back to default brightness. I've tried windowed and full screen, anyone else run into this issue? Currently on Windows 10.

I'm assuming this is only in MBII, and not affecting other programs?
If this is correct, first MBII Launcher > Settings > un-check "Steam integration" (skip if there's no such checkbox) > Engine > MBII Client > Play.
If you are already using MBII Client, select jamp.

Let me know if anything changes.

Also, I assume you've done this already, but just in case you haven't done this: Launch MBII > Setup > More Video > Adjust brightness to desired level.

Hmmm this is first time I am told about this issue.

Are you able to change brightness in other games, including but not limited to, base Jedi Academy?
What is your videocard?
Try updating videocard's drivers.

Hello.
Besides playing with r_brightness value (or smth like that ), I'd suggest trying out this one:

r_ignorehwgamma "0"    possibly to toggle the use of DirectX gamma correction or video driver gamma correction?

Windows uses what is called a "global gamma ramp" to set gamma for programs. Make sure that you aren't running something else that is also modifying the gamma ramp.

if you use flux, turn it off (quit) before adjusting ingame brightness settings
