Technical Issue Cant stay in MBII server

As soon as I join a server, and I wait a couple of minutes, I get randomly disconnected with the following error:
"Game running unrecognized protocols."

The MBII launcher also shows the following error as soon as I launch it:

I've tried manual install, fresh steam install in a different location. Nothing works.
Tried changing DNS settings to Google's DNS and my own home network's. Doesn't help.

What's going on here?

Try running reset_mbii_launcher.bat in your gamedata directory

Have you tried restarting Launcher itself?
And where have you place MBIILauncher.exe?

I recommend you to redownload Launcher by this link: https://www.moviebattles.org/download/MBIILauncher.zip , extract its content into "Jedi Academy\GameData", and start MBIILauncher.exe exactly from that catalog.

Also, try disabling your antivirus.

Also, what kind of of internet connection you have? Are you sure it isn't some kind of restricted network, like campus network or something?

I've tried everything you've said, fresh install of W10, fresh JKA install from steam with just MB2, still the exact same error.
I'm trying to play from my home, which is a regular fiber connection on cable, no wifi
