I was on mb2 earlier today and had no problems, I then logged into another steam account to check something. Then I logged back into my current one and opened the mb2 launcher, but when I tried to play it this message came up. I have never seen it before, just wondered if someone could help : http://imgur .com/a/NEY3h

This happened to me a long time ago. Just back up your config file and remove MBII and its launcher, then reinstall both.

Noob,
I followed you instruction as per this post, however upon reinstall of MB2 I have the exact same error message come up "cannot create a file when this file already exists"
Any other suggestions?

Delete file "Jedi Academy\GameData\temp.exe", if you have one.
If there is no such file, post a screenshot of "Jedi Academy\GameData" where all files can be seen.
