Buff force lightning.

Please buff it, I don't even care if it gets re workd some way. I've played on and off for 5 years and since I came back to the new patch I decided to learn how to "Force whore" well it fucking sucks in every game mode with the force defense mechanics.

Compared to the jedi's speed lunge and mind trick. TWO useful abilities that I see used often.

I only see grip used to smash people instantly which is hilarious and OP but thats another thing.

THE problem is lightning is basically a shitty flame thrower with knockback if you spend points specing into it.
I spent the better part of my downtime yesterday practicing around and talking to people in the backrooms of the server list about it there are several cool things in the lore of star wars that could be added.

I even went and did the hard work of googling it and im sure some of that wouldn't work in MB2 because of the "Closeness to the movies" lol
and behold just from the variants in the google search (albeit probably legends stuff thats not cannon now) I can see several good ideas.


A particularly interesting one that could lead to "fun" and a healthy change in the meta is chain lightning allowing level 3 lightning to link to a second target just barely out of range would be stellar...especially since it doesnt do crazy damage anyways.

You say it is weak because of what I understand to be force block. How does increasing the effective range resolve that? Who is it fun for and why would the change be healthy for the game?

It does little damage because it is non-aimed, instantly applied slow which severely reduces the rate of fire of every Rebel class. Combined with another Sith (as usually is the case) there is slim chance for the effected classes to interrupt the Sith's swing, let alone land a shot. Likewise, your supporting gunners are practically guaranteed to win the trade versus enemies effected by lightning.

It is a powerful support tool and I would be very, very reluctant to buff it.

Lightning is really different and even can feel weaker on level 3, at 1 and 2 it's immensively powerful combined with a lightsaber (or a watching teammate) because litterally you prevent the ennemy from shotting.

Now about the force block thing, I didn't see master yoda blink when he dealt with it. Seems about normal to me

There is more than 1 mode thats popular on this mod.
It is weird the most agressive "thematically" force power would need a whole other person to back you up in order to be useful in the way you said.

Been talking to alot of people about the current state of balance and lightning isnt even the worst thing in my opinion but from what I gathered speaking to old players.

Not much is ever getting buffed or re worked. the devs are
