Deflect is not enough to kill a decent gunner because you run out of fp most of the time, but it's possible to deflect all the blasters as headshots right? Were there any deflect masters? I really want to try headshotting with deflects yet i don't even hs with guns yet. Yeet

It isnt easy to use deflect and definitely not reliable if you want to make headshots especially against a movin target. There are though ways to use it efficiently (basically baiting and tricking)

deflect against many: use it for crowd control and use it even when rationally you shouldnt due to your fp. If youre bold they get the impression you have more fp than you should have (dont overplay your act tho) The thing is most get scared anyways, it is kinda like playing chicken. Best case scenario they get scared and stop shooting giving you time to get your act together. Doesnt work against pros obviously. This tactic works best with lvl3 but even lvl1 can be used for this.

chip damage: quite easy when youre high with fp and 1v1. Can make gunners squemish if you can manage your aim. Also in crowds if there is a low hp guy just redirect all enemyfire into him so he might tk his teammates in exchange. Basically take advantage of idiotic enemies to troll the better ones. Bad deka players and snipers are a gold mine. Be sure to have some cover to fallback into tho.

trick moves: you can deflect while rolling and that makes it the perfect bait move. Backward roll, wait for some1 to get baited, aim, deflect. Best when some proj dude falls for it. It is rather easy to aim during backward roll, the animation is long and super baity most ppl just cant resist shooting at you. This works with all deflect levels and makes you look cool as fuck. Dont overdo the move tho or nobody will fall for it.

Deflect is far more accurate now than it was in the past. Before it was automatic you didn't even need to MB just aim but as you got closer it got more and more inaccurate unlike now where the deflect level mostly affects FP drain and not accuracy which is pretty good regardless of distance. Starushka was pretty good at deflecting pre 1.1. Idk if he still plays though.

If you wanna get good at deflect there isn't many tricks or gimmicks to exploit just practice it and work on your aim, it's currently one of the most useful tools a jedi has as it's accurate af and if you can pressure a gunner into running you can push/pull him.
