7 is the Moviebattles Mod. To change the MB2 gamemode, use this. seta g_Authenticity "2" // MB Mode setting - 0 = Open mode, 1 = Semi-Authentic, 2 = Full-Authentic. 3 is Duel mode correct me if I'm wrong

I wouldn't suggest hamatchi for this sort of thing. That acts as a LAN network when you should really be hosting over internet.

First of all, make sure you are optimized to have good ping. If it still fails, go here Movie Battles II Server List and see what port the server is on and make sure that is open. 000.000.0.0:[PORT]

My only guess is that you have too high of a ping to be able to connect, or since it's a different port than 29070, maybe you need to open your 29072 port?
