    Perspective from a new player

Blue is good against low health targets like soldiers, not wookiees. It's fast, but does low damage, and because swings bounce off a wookiee it isn't efficient to use against them. You can strafe side to side and avoid a good amount of unnecessary FP damage. It should come as no surprise that...

    Perspective from a new player

Alright, everyone take a step back. This thread was made intending to ask questions, from the perspective of a new player (although you also criticized it without fully understanding how the game is meant to be played). If you, Achilles, have a question, post it. If the response from anyone...

    OpenJK vs JAMP

    1. OpenJK is a project that is intended to improve the performance of the game engine that JKA and JKO are run on. 2. Better optimization, fewer bugs. 3. At the moment I can't tell a real difference when comparing performance between JAMP and OpenJK. The thing that OpenJK does offer is improved...

Actually, that isn't true. You can build fury outside of melee, but melee and getting hit is the most effective way. Bowcaster, pistol and grenades also build fury.

No. You can jump, and with enough practice you can get kill them with crouch/swing. If there are a lot of wookiees on the enemy team that have fury it would benefit you to buy red stance.

    Perspective from a new player

It definitely takes more than 2 punches from a wookiee to kill a Sith. Fury is a different story, I'm pretty sure that only takes two. And to correct saber damage against wookiees, at the moment only red is capable of killing a wookiee in a single swing. Purple had it's damage reduced to 350...

    Perspective from a new player

Before you guys carry on with your argument, keep in mind that the mod has seen a huge surge in new players over the last 2 or 3 weeks. These players shouldn't be used to judge the balance of the game. If you guys want to continue discussing this, do it rationally and appropriately.

    Jedi/Sith Suggestions

What I mean is phasing out useless tiers of abilities. Don't make them acceptable in every situation, but make them so that if they're used with enough skill they can be effective in all but the most circumstantial of situations. For the most part, everything is already like that, except for...

    Jedi/Sith Suggestions

From a design perspective, nothing should be better than anything. The tier system in the game, in my opinion, should provide situational changes to an ability, not just give it more or less power. I always hated having to spend more points on something to make it not worthless.

[SOLVED] Hud is still stretched out and disproportionate

Or read the installation guide I spent so much time and effort working on... I even added necessary info for people running the game for the first time.

[SOLVED] Hud is still stretched out and disproportionate

I'm old, I wasn't around when those options were added, and when I came back I went straight to using openjk or mbii.x86, which don't support it. I always thought it was normal. :P

[SOLVED] Hud is still stretched out and disproportionate

I'm probably used to it then. I played during a time where widescreen resolutions were just because standard and we didn't support widescreen UI at all.

The only way to get the launcher to use JAMP is to install Jedi Academy to the default directory on C: drive where Steam is installed to. Running the game directly through Steam (adding the +set fs_game "MBII" to the launch parameters) will run vanilla jamp. And for the record, I run a 16:9...
