That was a question for @Szunti. I noticed in his logs the linux binaries, so I thought he may be running on a Linux, in which I'll have to hunt down a team member or beta tester that has a capable linux install of the game to double-check this problem on the latest OpenJK MBII compiled build.

They weren't working alone. The entire beta and development team was involved, and the vast majority was pleased with the changes and additions to the system. That's the entire reason they're being pushed.

I can't replicate this with the build of OpenJK we've got in beta, so I'm assuming it was an issue with our out of date mbii.x86.exe. EDIT: Question, are you running linux?

There is a WIP on JKHub, but it is unfortunately a really poor frankenstein of a bunch of different models which is something we try to avoid as much as possible. So, until someone gets to making an actual model and not using already existing pieces and parts it probably won't be included.

When you go to your NVIDIA control panel 3D settings, do you see a drop down menu for "Preferred Graphics Processors"? In any case it has to be a jamp.exe specific problem.

That you may have a secondary graphics processor. Does your motherboard come with built-in Intel HD? If so make sure that it isn't your default graphics processor. What I'm seeing is that your current clock isn't anywhere near the default or max clock speed of your card.

This just makes me believe even more this is a problem with your graphics properties somewhere in the 3D settings. Do you have any other games that are doing this that you can test out? I would give NVIDIA inspector a download and tinker around with it's profile settings.

Yeah, unfortunately OpenJK doesn't fully support widescreen resolutions as of yet.

Did you happen to turn Dynamic Glow on? Go into console and type /r_dynamicglow 0 and see if that fixes your problem.

Okay, so your FPS randomly drops? Is it for a solid few seconds or is it a stutter?

And you've restarted since this started happening? Have you installed anything recently that may be interfering or causing these frame drops?
