either you're doing something wrong, or you don't know what the widescreen ui changes i use the same resolution, and it makes a difference edit: are you using mb2 client or jamp?

you mean dynamic crosshair? there's a cvar for this, but i don't recommend disabling it, it reduces precision needed for medium and long range engagements as for the second thing it sounds like your cg_thirdpersoncameradamp and cg_thirdpersontargetdamp are set too low, try setting the values...

make sure your cvars regarding capture are set properly btw. are you trying to record in a widescreen resolution? i had similiar problems some time ago, recording in 4:3 helped oh btw dont worry about slowdowns, its perfectly normal also, try opening the output files with few different...
