Grip kind of works against SBD, but it's like trying to move a really obese guy with a forklift. Hilarious, but not very efficient. Using it on SBD's would probably be more of a detriment than ignoring it and hoping they don't wreck you outright.

You can download an older version of OpenJK, create a desktop shortcut and add +set fs_game "MBII" to the target field in the properties, then change the master server with seta sv_master1 master.moviebattles.org.

Should probably note that this fix is only if you launch the game with jamp.exe, the OpenJK (jamp.x86.exe) version will still ping master.moviebattles2.com for the time being, and will require a separate update.

Those will disappear when the updated launcher is released, you can just ignore those exception errors for now and use the launcher to launch the game, it just won't download any updates.

Indeed, they do feel a lot smaller than most other weapons in the game. I think the only exception would be pistol 1 and 2, which feel similarly small.

Don't do that. The Steam version of Jedi Academy requires you launch directly through Steam. You need to go into your Steam library, right click on Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy in your library, select Properties, and under that first tab there should be an option called Set Launch...

And how are you trying to run the game, what file are you using?

Right click on the game in your Steam library, and select Properties. In properties, under the Launch tab, you'll see "Select Launch Options". Put +set fs_game "MBII" there, and it will launch straight to MB2.

How exactly are you running the game, and what version of the game do you have? A physical copy or the Steam version?
