If you can provide with some of the audio or soundpacks that you're mentioning that would be great, otherwise I can't do much. The different gear sets that you're looking means RGB customization, not that the model can be modified. MBII's code won't allow us modders to mess with clothes...

It's all in your mind though :p, but if you want to remove the hilts, I guess that going to ext_data/sabers and removing both files that are inside would work. Keep in mind that this will break the Default lightsaber feature or at least like 60% percent of it.
