[SOLVED] How do you install OpenJK To MB2?

Could you please stop creating multiple topics about the same issue? Don't spam forums. A fork of OpenJK, called "MBII Client", is already shipped with Movie Battles installation. Start MBII Launcher, click Settings, switch "Engine" from "JAMP" to "MBII Client", click Play. Movie Battles will...

MBIILauncher.exe must be placed inside of "Jedi Academy\GameData" folder, alongside with "MBII_Patcher.dll" file. Please post a screenshot of your "Jedi Academy\GameData".

Only servers that run latest MBII version show up in the server browser (in-game, at least) at the first place. Only servers that run MBII version that matches your version show up in the server browser at the first place. And the whole point of these guys they want to play some older MBII...

Oh, that makes sense. But shouldn't this issue be solved if simply all the clients and server would agree to name that non-canon MBII folder with exactly same name?

So, you're sure both directory name and a line in .sh is "MBIIb17", with absolutely same case, and it doesn't work, with the same error? Stop the server, open .sh file, add this right after +set fs_path MBIIb17: +set logfile 3 Start the server, upload a file "MBIIb17\qconsole.log" to this...

Linux has case-sensitive filesystem. Make sure both folder name and fs_path in .sh file have exactly same case (not like MBIIb17 and MBiib17). It's about manually replacing jampgamei386.so with jampgamei386.nopp.so. But now I see it applies to self-hosting, which isn't your case.

Interesting... When you just posted your reply, there was a different screenshot. Now you have edited your message, putting a new screenshot. Which screenshot is correct? Do you have these files in MBIIb17: cgamei386.so jampgamei386.so jampgamei386.nopp.so uii386.so ? If you host using OpenJK...

Yes it should be possible and it should work. I don't get it. Explain. It should be possible to run two different mb2 version with a single, shared base folder. But you'll obviously need to have two folders containing those two different MBII installations. You can leave one named MBII, other...

An attempt at objectivity and discussion

I spent so much time and some many letters expressing my view on this matter in the past, in numerous previous threads, so I don't know what to say now, except from briefly repeat my main argument: Don't take away freedom of choosing from the community. Right now, when all three kind of servers...

    [SOLVED] STRUGGLING with Mac installation.

I don't understand what do you mean by "missions from the movies". Movie Battles has only multi-player, CS-like gameplay, that's it. Oh, there are also the tutorials, but that's really it. AAAAAAnd there is a campaign of base Jedi Academy.

Capture with jaMME in MBII 1.4.5 (with dropped editing support)

While jaMME itself is working, I doubt that any capturing featuring are, because some GPLed code that is required by jaMME was removed from MBII dlls. To start jaMME you need to create a shortcut for jaMME and add +set fs_game mbii as a command-line parameters. You also may need to copy three...

    [SOLVED] STRUGGLING with Mac installation.

Are you aware that Movie Battles is a strictly multi-player mod, without a feature to play single-player at all? If you want to start base Jedi Academy via JKJALaunch, you have to remove that "+set fs_game MBII" command line arguments from JKJALaunch. Or just run base JA normally, without...
