Unconfirmed repeating pistol FPP zoom misaligned

when shooting the repeating pistol while scoped in first person, the crosshair isn't actually aimed at the point the gun is aimed at
is this intentional? does this happen for you too?

It is not just misaligned there - it shoots from up above and beyond your shoulder.
