[SOLVED] Please start the game via launcher and keep it running! error

I took a break from MB2 for a while but yesterday I decided to come back. My issue is, whenever I join a server I can spectate just fine but as soon as a new round starts and I can play, within around 5 seconds I get disconnected with the message "Please start the game via launcher and keep it running!". I'm launching the multiplayer via Steam library and I have the set launch option set. Any fixes please? :/

I think it means the MBII Launcher,not the Steam launcher.

Hmm I see, but Steam used to work just fine before. Did something change?

I think since 1.4 it required the launcher to be opened and not closed.Don't remember why.

Just tried running it through the MB2 Launcher and it works fine now. Thank you very much!

You can still run through steam, just keep the launcher open in the background

This is because of anti-cheating system built-in in Launcher.
