[SOLVED] "Player connected" lag

Every time a player connects to the server I am playing on, I get a ~2-second freeze. If two or more players connect the freeze may last even longer. This is really annoying and frequently happens in key moments and you end up dead. What's more, if you are holding a button at the moment of the freeze, the hold of that button will be released. So, for example, you drop a charged nade you were preparing to throw into yourself or your teammates, let go of block as a saberists and die, or jump short of your target ledge and fall into a pit. I know this problem is probably rooted deep inside the JKA engine (as it happens in JKA too), but if something could be done to it to make it better it would be really nice.

Fixed it. Just set "Defer player models" to "On" in Setup>Game Options and the lag will be no more. Thanks to Bono for the tip.
