Launcher "Keep the launcher running"

So I've seen a few topics about this but none of them have helped. I am launching MB2 via the launcher and still get this message. I've seen people suggest to change to MBII Client. When I do that, it opens the game via OpenJK and it freezes every time I go to a server.
